Healthy Homemade Protein Balls

Yup, here’s another energy balls recipe.  I totally just did it, I jumped on that wagon and I’m not ashamed of it!

Plus would I really be a health and fitness enthusiast without having my own energy/protein ball recipe?  This makes me legit now, right? LOL

I’m not going to lie, I’ve played around with these for a while- consistency, taste, nutritional value, it all had to be just right.  What can I say, I’m picky with my balls (rated PG people…I know what you just thought..hehe)

I’ve made these a few times, every time I’ve changed or added something, but, BUT THESE I made for my photoshoot  and they turned out to be THE batch annndd I got professional pictures of them. The universe was telling me something here!

Packed with protein, nutrients and healthy fats, these protein balls make the perfect snack and will satisfy any sweet tooth craving or peanut butter craving!

They are gluten free, dairy free(if you use dairy free chocolate) and free from refined sugar. Packing in about 10g of protein per ball, these balls are high in fibre, healthy good fats, omegas and of course peanut butter!

Quick & Easy Healthy Homemade Protein Balls Recipe

1.5 cups Natural Peanut Butter

1.5 cups Quick Instant Oats

1 tbsp ground flax seeds

1 tbsp raw honey

1 tbsp hemp seeds

1 tsp cinnamon

1 sccop Collagen powder

1 tbsp coconut oil

½ cup dark chocolate chips

¼ cup water (more if needed)

In a large bowl mix all ingredients except for the water.  Once it is well combined, the mixture will be crumbly, add water and mix.  The batter should start to stick together, if it’s still crumbling add 1tbsp of water at a time until it sticks together.  The batter should be dry and not to wet, you want it to stick together but not be overly wet.

Once it is all combined, using about 2 tbsp of the batter for each ball, roll into balls and set on a baking sheet.

Leave the balls in the fridge overnight or freeze.

Enjoy! if you make them, let me know!  Take a picture, add it to your insta and tag me 🙂 I’d love to see it!  better yet snap a crazy picture of you eating them LOL
