Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day. It’s funny because it used to be my least. I used to skip it entirely, but that was at a time where I didn’t realize how important eating breakfast was for your metabolism, in staying healthy and fueling your body.
Oatmeal is not only one of my favorite breakfast choices, but it’s also my go to because it’s quick, easy to make and it’s a powerhouse breakfast- it’s both energy dense and nutrient dense.
Did you know that oats are categorized as a Superfood?
so what’s a superfood? Superfoods contain not only macronutrients, but they also contain micronutrients ( vitamins and minerals) as well as many metabolic benefits. Oats in [articluar are an excellent source of fiber ( insoluble and soluble), is high in folate and magnesium and has a higher protein (Containing amino acids) content than most other grains. Oats are slow digesting, help regulate insulin and promotes satiety ( keeps you full).
Incorporating nutrient-dense superfoods, along with healthy fats is a beneficial aid when it comes to healthy weight loss, maintaining weight and supporting a healthy diet.
